It started with a building,
then came the prairie,
now there's a vegetable garden.
During the last few years Julie
& Dan have transitioned a 40 acre farm from a conventional, monoculture of corn and soybeans into a diversified,
1,000 tree and shrub seedlings, 10 acres of native prairie grasses and we maintain various
cover crops on the 8 acres we left tillable.
We’ve laid out gardens with rotations in mind. We’ve planned for perennial crops
such as asparagus and herbs. We’ve created a farm that is both functional where wonderful vegetables are produced plus enjoyable so
people will want to visit.
Come see for yourself!
